Mum Myleene introduces baby Ava

Myleene Klass has introduced the world to her new baby daughter in their first picture together.

Baby Ava, named after movie star Ava Gardner, was born three-and-a-half weeks early on August 16, weighing 5lbs 9oz.

The star went into labour shortly after co-hosting The One Show with Adrian Chiles.

The photograph, which shows Klass gazing adoringly at Ava, was taken at the 29-year-old's home.

Klass's spokesman Simon Jones said: "They are really, really happy.

"Since the baby was born Myleene has been spending every second with Ava. The couple are enjoying life as new parents."

He added that Klass would be a "working mum" and return to her presenting duties in October, thanks to the support of Ava's grandparents and Klass's partner, fiance Graham Quinn.

The pictures were offered to newspapers in exchange for a donation to a children's charity.
