Galaxy want Beckham right
Los Angeles Galaxy have insisted that they will not rush new signing David Beckham into action before he has fully recovered from his ankle injury.
Beckham played in the last 12 minutes of the Galaxy's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea last Saturday.
But the former England skipper has been unable to train ahead of the clash with Pachuca in the inaugural SuperLiga tournament.
And Galaxy coach Frank Yallop told reporters: "He's still sore, probably the same condition he was before the game against Chelsea, but the good thing was that he didn't re-injure it.
"He wanted to play in that game, but we have to make sure it's right for our games."
He added: "I hate to keep saying this, but it is day to day - and we don't want to rush him and end up putting him backwards. We're going to clear this thing up and make sure he's ready to play."
