Called Jingle Cats Christmas 2007, it is a 40 minute compilation of videos featuring a group called Jingle Cats and their backing singers, the Jingle Dogs.

The idea was conceived by American Mike Spalla in the 1990s.

He said: "The Jingle Cats started as a little joke idea when someone wanted me to do a recording of 'Jingle Bells' and I brought my cat into the studio just for fun and he ran into the recording booth and started meowing at me."

Fourteen years later Mr Spalla has reconvened the cats and their canine backing singers to release another DVD.

Recorded on the dvd are classics such as Jingle Bells, Silent Night, and Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies.

One of the songs - Jingle Cats Medley - even featured on the holiday film Fred Claus.

Albums by the Jingle Cats include "Here Comes Santa Claws" (1994) and "Rhythm and Mews" (2002) and have sold 2 million albums worldwide.
