Patrick Dempsey has set hearts a-flutter at the German premiere of his new movie Made of Honour.

The Grey's Anatomy star plays womaniser Tom in Paul Weiland's romantic comedy.

In the film he is flooded with offers of love. But when he finds out that his best friend Hannah, played by actress Michelle Monaghan, has fallen in love with a Scotsman and wedding preparations begin, Tom realises that she is the one he secretly loves.

Hannah asks Tom to be her maid of honour.

To try and steal her heart, Tom tries to impress Hannah by wearing a Scottish kilt, but not just any old kilt, a mini kilt, worn by the man who was ranked as the second sexiest man on earth, three years in a row.

It was all clearly part of the film producer's master plan.

"He's very handsome but more importantly he's such a nice guy and so much fun. i think people are going to see a really funny side of him in this film that they don't see necessarily on Grey's Anatomy so I think people will enjoy that," said Monaghan.

Before Dempsey began his career as an actor, he wanted to be a circus juggler, and during "Made of Honour" he was able to put his juggling skills to good use.

"It was fun to juggle. It's always fun to juggle. People really enjoy it so it's nice to see people's response to juggling," Dempsey said.
