Redknapp keen on Czech mates
Portsmouth want to sign Patrik Berger and fellow Czech Republic international Milan Baros, according to Berger's agent.
Berger has only managed five substitute appearnaces for Aston Villa this season, but Martin O'Neill may not want be willing to trim his small squad.
Pavel Paska said: "Aston Villa don't want to hear about releasing him at present."
Portsmouth have lost Sulley Muntari, Papa Bouba Diop, Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka to the African Nations Cup and Harry Redknapp has said he would like to sign players on a short term basis.
Baros moved to Lyon last January and he has only scored three league goals in 12 games this season.
Paska added: "I have already given the official offer of Portsmouth to Lyon's management. Their coach Harry Redknapp has an eminent interest in Milan."
