Film memorabilia goes on sale in LA
A massive auction of film memorabilia is set to take place in Hollywood.
Over 1,100 items will go under the hammer from the last 100 years, and movie buffs will be in with a chance to bid on anything from Will Smith's Men In Black gun to an original Superman costume.
Other lots include the Spider-man mask worn by Tobey Maguire and the military outfit Tom Hanks wore in Forest Gump.
The auction house spokesman Joseph Maddalena said: "People say to me, 'why do people buy these' and I tell them it's nostalgia - it brings you back to a happier moment in life.
"Everybody has a film or a TV show that they loved. And people take it one step further and it's just like buying contemporary art."
The auction opens on August 1.
