Doherty to go booze-free

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty is trying to get his life back on track by reportedly giving up alcohol on his impending tour.

The Babyshambles star plans on celebrating his new clean-living lifestyle by playing his gigs in booze-free venues.

Doherty recently tested negative for drugs during a rehab course at the Clouds clinic in Wiltshire

The singer is hoping to hold the series of solo concerts to celebrate his time off drugs.

And the 28-year-old will be insisting that temptation is removed and the venues for his show don't serve alcohol so that he can perform sober for the first time in five years.

Doherty recently tested negative for drugs during a rehab stint at the Clouds clinic in Wiltshire.

He has now retreated to a cottage in the countryside with his fiancée Irina Lazareanu to keep away from his turbulent London lifestyle.
