ITV Play removed from digital platforms

The TV quiz channel ITV Play will be replaced on digital platforms by a catch-up channel called ITV2+1.
The channel is currently off-air while ITV conducts an independent review into TV phone-ins, but it will only return overnight on terrestrial channels ITV1 and ITV2.
ITV says the decision was made to free space on the digital spectrum
ITV Play was launched a year ago and has so far run at a loss, but it has earned £20 million on the terrestrial network.
