Ex-Ferrari chief joins Honda

Former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn has been appointed as Honda's new team principal.

Brawn, who enjoyed great success with Michael Schumacher at Ferrari, will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and engineering the team's Formula One operation from next season.

The 52-year-old is looking forward to his new challenge: "I am very excited to be joining the Honda Racing F1 Team.

"Honda has a proud heritage in Formula One and the opportunity to help the team to realise its potential represents a fantastic new challenge for me in the sport."

Meanwhile, Ferrari have announced that Stefano Domenicali will replace Jean Todt as team boss from January.

Todt, who has been in the position on an interim basis, is to remain with the World Drivers Championship in a senior executive role.
