Murray climbs rankings
Andy Murray's first wins on clay in two years have lifted him back into 19th place in the world tennis rankings.
The Scot reached the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters, where he was beaten in straight sets by Novak Djokovic.
But he earned enough points to overtake Lleyton Hewitt in the rankings and he could improve that position further in Barcelona this week, where he has accepted a wildcard invitation.
He has been given a bye into the second round, where he will play either Mario Ancic or Mischa Zverev.
Murray missed three months of last season with a wrist injury, so he has no ranking points to defend until August.
That means he has a chance to shoot up the rankings, especially if he plays well in the French Open and Wimbledon where there are extra points available.
