Reds rift reports rejected
Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has denied reports of a rift between the club's US co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
Hicks and Gillett took over the Anfield club earlier this year and backed Rafael Benitez in the transfer market over the summer.
They have also been instrumental in pushing forward the plans for a new stadium on Stanley Park.
And, in the wake of reports over the weekend questioning the American duo's working relationship, Parry said: "I've just spent a couple of days with Tom and George and both of them were in good spirits working hard together on future plans for the club.
"I wouldn't normally comment on these things but a story in one of the Sunday papers claiming there was some sort of problem between the two couldn't be wider of the mark. In fact, it's absolute nonsense."
