While some celebs chose to attend the Mobos to see the likes of Ne-Yo and Amy Winehouse, indie rockers opted for the Vodafone Live Awards instead.

Mika was named best male at the glittering ceremony while Winehouse won the best female title.

Mika and Amy Winehouse were the big winners of the evening, taking away gongs for best male and best female

But while she may have been partying in London's Docklands, The Arctic Monkeys, Kylie and Klaxons also picked up gongs on the night at Brompton Hall as did The Gossip who won the live impact award.

Newcomer Kate Nash was the hot name on everybody's lips including hardman actor Danny Dyer.

"I quite like Kate Nash, she's got something about her. I think she's quite sexy and I'm feeling her album."

Iggy Pop was handed the Freddie Mercury lifetime achievement award for his services to Live Music.
