Federer and Nadal reach final

Top seeds Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are through to the men's singles final at Wimbledon.

Federer is vying for his fifth successive crown, while Nadal will be looking for a repeat of the French Open final when he defeated Federer - but that was on clay.

Federer beat Richard Gasquet 7-5 6-3 6-4 in the sunshine on Centre Court to book his place in Sunday's showdown.

Frenchman Gasquet had been in great form to reach the semis, but failed to shine against the Swiss.

After the match Federer said: "The first set was crucial and I came out and started playing really well and that was pretty much it."

Meanwhile on Court One Rafael Nadal saw off Serbian fourth seed Novak Djokovic. Djorkovic was forced to retire hurt with the Spaniard leading their semi-final 3-6 6-1 4-1.
