Two major American TV networks have turned down the chance to interview Paris Hilton when she leaves jail.

An ABC executive said his network had declined offers to speak to the millionaire socilaite.

Paris will be released on Tuesday having served 23 days of her sentence

And rival network NBC said in a statement it was "no longer interested in pursing an interview with her".

Some reports had claimed NBC would pay $1 million (£500,000) for the first interview with Paris, but the network insisted it was never going to pay any money.

CBS News has also revealed it is not interested.

The Los Angeles County sheriff's department has announced Paris will be released on Tuesday having served 23 days of a sentence for violating probation in a drink driving case.
