Capello hints at Hart call-up

Fabio Capello could promote Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart to the full England squad for next month's friendly against France.

Capello recalled David James to play in goal in the friendly against Switzerland earlier this month and he has admitted Hart could be the next goalkeeper added to his squad.

"I have spotted one in the Under-21s who is very interesting" - Fabio Capello

Capello said: "Only 38 per cent of the players are English. The pool is reduced.

"I have had to reinstate a 37-year-old goalkeeper but I have spotted one in the Under-21s who is very interesting."

Hart has won nine caps for England under-21s and he kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland under-21s in a European Championship qualifier earlier this month.

The 20-year-old has overtaken Kasper Schmeichel to become Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper this season, keeping eight clean sheets in his 21 appearances.
