'Beckham won't return to England'

David Beckham will not play in the Premier League during the close season in the US.

There has been speculation that the 32-year-old former England captain could return to the league he graced with Manchester United when the Major League shuts down.

"There will be no loan moves or short-term contracts. He is under contract to the Galaxy" - David Beckham's spokesman

But Beckham's spokesman has insisted that the injury-blighted Los Angeles Galaxy star will not be going to another club on any basis.

The spokesman said: "There will be no loan moves or short-term contracts. He is under contract to the Galaxy."

Beckham has put pen to paper to a five-year contract with the Galaxy which could be worth up to £125 million.
