Kovalainen will race in Turkey
McLaren driver Heikki Kovalainen has been given the all-clear to race in the Turkish Grand Prix this weekend.
The Finn was knocked unconscious when he was involved in a high-speed crash during the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona last month.
But he has passed a fitness test in Istanbul and will be allowed back into the cockpit.
An FIA statement read: "Following a medical examination this morning by the FIA medical delegate, Professor Jean-Charles Piette, and the chief medical officer of the event, Dr Cem Boneval, Heikki Kovalainen has been cleared to race in the 2008 Turkish Grand Prix."
Kovalainen was travelling at 150mph when one of his tyres burst in Barcelona.
Calculations showed the car ploughed head first into a tyre wall at 80mph and Kovalainen was subjected to an even greater force than a pilot ejecting from a fighter jet.
