Schwarzenegger turns 60

Hollywood action man turned politician Arnold Schwarzenegger has turned 60.

Schwarzenegger began his career as body builder before forging a career as a popular action hero in numerous movies including The Terminator, which made him a household name.

The 80s was one of the most successful decades for Arnold which saw him make a string of tough man films such as Commando, Predator, The Running Man and Red Heat

Arnie then showed off a softer, funnier side to his on-screen persona in Twins and Kindergarten Cop.

The Austrian born actor then turned his attention to US politics and was elected Governor of California in 2003.

As a politician Schwarzenegger has gone on to champion the cause of the environment and made environmental concerns one of the top priorities on his political agenda.
