Katherine greets fans at book signing

Opera star Katherine Jenkins has been meeting and greeting fans at her first book signing.

The mezzo-soprano was signing copies of her autobiography Time To Say Hello at WHSmith in Queen Street, Cardiff.

The 27-year-old, who was born in Neath, south Wales, then headed to Swansea for her second signing of the day.

The singer said it was important that her first outing with the book was close to home.

She said: "I was overwhelmed, I had no idea so many people would turn up and show an interest in my book.

"Some people might say I'm quite young to be writing an autobiography but I see this as the first part. For example, the last line in the book is 'To be continued' because I think I have a story to tell and can foresee myself writing more."

Time To Say Hello was published by Orion on January 28.
