Frieze a hot ticket in London
London's Frieze Art Fair has opened to the public, with expectations it'll generate as much as £300 million in sales and auctions.
It features work by over 1,000 artists, from 151 contemporary galleries, and spanning 28 countries.
There doesn't seem to be any sign of the global credit crunch here - with the fair having already attracted a number of major collectors.
It seems owning contemporary art remains on the 'what's hot' list.
"In the old days people were judged by their clothes and the houses they lived in. Now they're judged by their clothes, the houses they live in, and the art that they own," art collector Nicholas Barker said.
Now in its fifth year, Frieze is being held in a temporary structure in Regent's Park from October 11-14.
