Mel B secretly marries new man
Spice Girl Mel B has secretly married her new boyfriend Stephen Belafonte.
Rumours had been flying around that a wedding certificate proving the the couple got hitched was in circulation, but now Mel B's people have confirmed that the nuptials did take place.
The singer tied the knot with long-time friend Belafonte at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on June 6.
In a statement the couple said they "were at a good point in their lives and wanted to make a private commitment to each other".
But the pair, both 32, decided to keep the ceremony secret as they had planned to have a more formal wedding for friends and family to attend later in the year.
New mum Mel apparently turned to film producer Belafonte after she was dumped by US comic Eddie Murphy, who denied he was the father of her three-month-old baby girl, Angel Iris.
Mel is thought to have told a pal: "Eddie hasn't been in touch once since I had the baby, it's unbelievable. But Stephen has been a tower of strength."
