It's hard to believe that popstar Lily Allen - complete with her trainers and chunky jewellery - has a royal connection.

But it has been revealed that the singer's dad Keith Allen took a 12-year-old Lily and her brother to Princess Diana's funeral almost ten years ago.

The outspoken songstress will be among a star-studded line-up for the event at Wembley stadium including Sir Elton John, Kanye West and Rod Stewart

The whole thing was a bit too much for Lily at the time but the Smile singer will now have the chance to pay a personal tribute to Diana at her memorial concert on July 1.

Comeback kings Take That have also confirmed that they will be performing at the Concert For Diana.

There are even rumours that ex-bandmate Robbie Williams could join the group on stage for the first time in 12 years.
