A robot has arrived which could revolutionise the way we refuel.

A Dutch inventor has come up with a machine which will fill up your car for you.

'Tankpitstop' was conceived to step in where petrol pump attendants once stood.

It registers the car on arrival and matches it to a database of fuel cap designs and fuel types.

It costs £50,000, but it seems there could be a flaw.

It doesn't work if the petrol tank needs a key.
