George Clooney has joined his neighbours in a small northern Italian town in protesting against the mayor's development plans.
Clooney, who owns a villa in the town of Laglio on the shores of Lake Como, has signed a petition that aims to block further development of the town.
His name is one of around 200 to have added their support to the petition set up by the Rive DI Laglio committee
The mayor plans to make the town more accessible to tourists by building extra parking spaces and constructing a pontoon bridge which would pass close to Clooney's villa.
Clooney's lakeside home is known as Villa Oleandra.
