Foster celebrated with leadership honour

Jodie Foster has been celebrated for her showbiz career by becoming the proud recipient of a leadership award in Hollywood.

The actress was presented with the accolade at the 16th annual Women in Entertainment breakfast, which honours top female talent in the industry.

The 45-year-old, who's won two Academy Awards, said her individuality has been the key to her success

She said: "I just wanted to stand for what I stand for. I wasn't really interested in living someone else's career."

Queen Latifah and John Travolta were just some of the stars to come out and show the actress their support.

"There's no one better suited for this than Jodie," Travolta said. "She's powerful, she's talented, she's creative, she's got a lot of stamina to get things done. So this is her award, you know?"
