What type of vacancies does ITN offer?

A whole range! Providing the news for ITV, Channel 4, More4, Setanta Sports News, IRN and a range of mobile and broadband operators and having one of the largest commercial video content businesses in the world means our vacancies are varied and diverse. We recruit into our support areas of Finance, Technology, IT, Sales, Research and Human Resources.

What qualifications do I need to get into broadcasting?

A Media Studies qualification does not necessarily mean securing a job at ITN. Practical experience is just as beneficial as academic qualifications so any involvement in media related activities would help you getting into the industry.

Where do you advertise your vacancies?

You can view our current vacancies here on our website or in the media pages of the Guardian and trade journals such as Broadcast.

Does ITN offer work experience placements?

ITN does not operate a general work experience scheme but we do offer a semi-structured placement scheme for a number of students from City University with whom we already have strong links. We also have strong links with Ravensbourne College to whom we offer Studio placements. We do not currently offer a graduate recruitment programme.

Does ITN offer training courses?

ITN does not run an external training programme. For information on training within Broadcasting please contact Skillset, who provide specialist media careers advice (0207 534 5300) or log on to www.skillset.org.
