Zahara's mother rejects gossip mag claims
A woman claiming to be the biological mother of Angelina Jolie's adopted daughter Zahara has spoken out.
The Hollywood star has previously said the child was an AIDS orphan, and her grandmother confirmed this at an Addis Ababa court.
But now a woman claiming to be Zahara's biological mother is denying magazine reports she wanted her daughter back with her in Africa.
Mentewab Dawit said she has never challenged the adoption and she is happy her daughter has found a home with the actress.
She added she would like to meet Zahara one day.
"Once she is grown I will explain to my daughter why I gave her up for adoption, and I would never entertain Zahara leaving Angelina because she is more of her mother than I am. She raised her," she said.
