A bear cub has successfully escaped from his captors after being found sleeping on a car roof in Mexico.

Civil protection officers scrambled outside to set traps to lure the bear into a waiting cage with tuna, water and apples
Civil protection officers scrambled outside to set traps to lure the bear into a waiting cage with tuna, water and apples.
But they were unsuccessful with the bear running out of the garage five hours after its arrival - breaking through plastic nets set up by officers - and straight into a nearby forested area.
It was the second day in a row the bear had managed to give authorities the slip.
