Sven determined to remain cool
Sven-Goran Eriksson is refusing to get carried away by Premier League leaders Manchester City's 100 per cent start to the season.
The 59-year-old Swede has guided City to wins in each of their opening three matches without conceding a goal.
But he said after seeing his men beat champions Manchester United at the City of Manchester Stadium his early season table-toppers have still to establish themselves as a team capable of challenging for the title.
Eriksson said: "We have a long way to go before we are a top team. We are here and we are fighting but there are a lot of things for me to work on.
"There are a lot of players here who have never played in the Premier League. They are not used to the pace and you can see it sometimes."
Brazilian Geovanni fired Manchester City to victory over Manchester United in the 148th Manchester derby, a result which takes Eriksson's men two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table ahead of Saturday's trip to Arsenal.
