Eriksson's day of reckoning
Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is expected to fly out to Thailand for talks with the club's owner.
It is thought former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra will sack the ex-England boss this summer, despite Eriksson leading the club into the Premier League's top ten in his first season in charge.
City suffered an embarrassing 8-1 defeat in the Swede's final game of the season against Middlesbrough.
It could be his last at Eastlands as his job was under threat even before the capitulation at the Riverside. Shinawatra had already expressed his disappointment with the final outcome of Eriksson's ten months in charge.
However, Manchester City finished ninth in the Barclays Premier League - their best finish since Kevin Keegan led them to eighth in 2004-05 - and have a possible place in the Uefa Cup via the Fair Play League.
