World's biggest jigsaw puzzle
Thousands of residents of the south German town of Ravensburg put together what they believe to be the world's biggest puzzle.
Within five hours, over 1 million pieces were assembled into a giant jigsaw puzzle measuring 600 square metres.
The event was organised by a local puzzle game company, whose representatives were confident the creation will warrant an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
Earlier in the day, people gathered in the main square of Ravensburg where 4,000 puzzle boards were handed out - each consisting of 300 pieces.
The Ravensburg notary said thataltogether, 1,140,800 puzzle pieces were assembled.
According to the organisers of the event, the previous record was held by the residents of Singapore who put together a puzzle of 212,000 pieces.
