Winehouse takes to the decks
Amy Winehouse has shown her various musical talents by holding her very own DJ night in London.
The singer performed a DJ battle against DJ Bioux at the night called 'Snakehips At The Monarch', at the Monarch club near her home in Camden.
While the singer didn't actually put on a pair of headphones and mix songs, she personally selected the music for the 30-minute set.
Winehouse chose songs that were said to have influenced her, mostly sixties soul classics such as The Supremes You Can't Hurry Love, Curtis Mayfield's Move On Up, and Jackie Wilson's I've Got the Sweetest Feeling.
Winehouse didn't engage with the crowd, as most DJs do, and tried to ignore the rapid succession of flashbulbs as fans took several photographs of her on their digital cameras or camera phones.
Still, fans were excited to see the Grammy-award winning singer playing such an intimate gig.
"There's a big buzz around her. I don't know what it is about her but she creates a massive buzz. As soon as she walked in there were flashes and it was great to see her," said Emma from Watford.
The troubled singer was in hospital last month after collapsing. Later, her father said she was suffering from the lung condition emphysema. A publicist has since backtracked, saying she had early signs of what could lead to the condition.
Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil is due to be sentenced on July 21 along with Michael Brown after both pleaded guilty to attacking pub landlord James King in London in June 2006, and to trying to bribe him.
Fielder-Civil, 26, faces up to five years in prison.
