Michelle's good year goes on
Michelle Pfeiffer has paid tribute to her parents after being honoured on Hollywood's prestigious walk of fame.
The 49-year-old actress becomes the 2,345th star to be immortalised in cement on Hollywood Boulevard.
She has received Academy Award nominations for Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys and Love Field.
Her 1989 role opposite the Bridges brothers in Baker Boys earned her a Golden Globe for best actress.
Michelle has leapt back into the spotlight this year, playing screen-meanies Velma Von Tussle, a bigoted former beauty queen in Hairspray and witch, Lamia in Stardust.
She said: "I want to thank my mother who forcefully preached to me every day the importance of having a career and my father who taught me that you can make something of yourself if you work hard."
