India hold out for draw
India have forced a draw from the fourth Test against Australia in Adelaide.
Stirring resistance from Virender Sehwag, who made 151, kept Australia at bay although the hosts take the series 2-1.
The tourists had resumed on 45 for one, in the quest to secure a win which would have tied the series, but it was always likely to be tough task.
Wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist - who set a world record for Test dismissals on Friday - captained the Australians for his final day of Test cricket.
And fittingly it was he who took Sehwag's scalp as the 29-year-old batsman tried to open the face of the bat to play the ball behind point, but sent a slight edge through to Gilchrist, who had to be alert for the catch.
Sehwag departed to warm applause in a match which was played in a palpably better atmosphere than the first two, when relations between the two sides threatened to deteriorate completely.
On Tuesday, Harbhajan Singh will bid to overturn a three-Test suspension in relation to a controversial flashpoint during the second Test.
At one stage the incident, in which Harbhajan allegedly hurled racist abuse at Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds had looked set to lead to the tour being abruptly cancelled.
