Girls Spice up their life with £10m bonus
The Spice Girls are set to receive £50 million for bringing their world tour to London's O2 Arena, it is claimed.
The Girls ended their 17-night run at the former Millennium Dome on Tuesday and have taken their sell-out tour on to Manchester.
The reformed group have insisted that they did not embark on their reunion tour for money, but the move has earned them a £10 million bonus each, a source at the O2 centre has claimed.
The source told a newspaper: "Barbra Streisand had high ticket prices but only did three nights while Prince did 21 nights but sold tickets for next to nothing.
"Not many groups can sell out 17 gigs at £75 a ticket, it's quite an achievement."
Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, recently claimed the comeback tour had nothing to do with money.
"The truth of the matter is, to put on this tour has cost £18.6 million," she said.
"We have done this purely to celebrate our fans, the music and ourselves. This is not a money-making expedition. It really isn't. Hopefully we will break even but it has never been about that."
