Holland have qualified for the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 after thrashing France 4-1.

Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring for the Dutch with a powerful header in the ninth minute following a Rafael van der Vaart corner.

A wonder goal from Wesley Sneijder completed the rout in stoppage time

Ruud van Nistelrooy and half-time substitute Arjen Robben set up the next strike, leaving Arsenal's Robin Van Persie to volley in.

It was left to France's all-time leading goalscorer Thierry Henry to pull one back after 71 minutes with his 45th goal for his country.

But Robben lashed the ball in from an almost impossible angle just 30 seconds later.

A wonder goal from Wesley Sneijder completed the rout in stoppage time.

The win sees Marco van Basten's team clinch first place in Group C with six points, four ahead of Romania.

World Cup-winners Italy and runners-up France have one point each and meet in Zurich on Tuesday.
