Dana Delany who plays Katherine Mayfair in the hit television show Desperate Housewives has said the issues between cast members have been resolved.

Many media reported that things were not so well between the cast after a photo shoot in Vanity Fair magazine.

But Delaney said: "Whatever issues there were, they have been settled."

She said: "The bottom line is they are professional actresses and they get along fine right now. They have all been given their separate corners."

Delaney was originally chosen by the series creator Marc Cherry to play neurotic housewife Bree Hodge.

She said she turned down the role because it was to similar to another part she had just played.

She said she regrets turning down the offer: "Of course the the show ended up being a huge hit and I tried not to kick myself."

Delaney said she is impressed by the writing on the show and believes the writers have struck the perfect balance between comedy, drama and mystery.
