Teen shot in sports centre

A teenager has been shot and wounded in a sports centre in London.

The youngster, who is black, was shot in the reception area of the Flaxman Sports Centre, Carew Street, Camberwell, south east London, at about 1pm.

Scotland Yard said the victim, believed to be 18 years old, was seriously hurt, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are looking for two black male suspects wearing hooded tops.

The shooting is being investigated by Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in the black community.
