Santa Cruz hints at United move
Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz has hinted that he may sign for Manchester United.
Manager Mark Hughes has already left Ewood Park to take over at Manchester City this week and Cruz has revealed he could soon be wearing the red of their rivals.
He said: "The interest from Manchester United is real. But I'm busy now so my representatives will handle anything if there is a concrete offer."
The 26-year-old scored 23 goals in all competition for Rovers last season following his arrival from Bayern Munich, including 19 in the Barclays Premier League.
Meanwhile, Hughes has said he has no regrets about quitting Blackburn for City.
Even though the Blues have finished below Rovers in the last two Premier League campaigns, Hughes had no hesitation in accepting the job at Eastlands once owner Thaksin Shinawatra made his approach.
"I am very proud of what I achieved at Blackburn but I have no regrets at leaving," he said.
"When I arrived there four years ago, they were second bottom of the Premier League and in great danger of being relegated.
"I knew there was a limit to how far I could take them. Now I am at a club that can match my ambitions."
