Men held over boy's pool death
Two men have been arrested over the death of a teenage boy whose body was found in a water-filled clay pit.
A murder probe was launched by West Midlands Police on Sunday after the body of the 16-year-old was recovered from Lunt Pool off Bickley Road in Bilston.
The victim, named locally as Shane Owoo, was found after a lengthy search operation involving police, paramedics and fire crews who later had to call in police divers for assistance.
Two men, aged 20 and 22, are being questioned by officers in connection with the death. Three other men, all in their early 20s, arrested over the weekend have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to try to piece together the circumstances of how the boy came to be in the water. Some reports claim the boy was thrown into the water having been accused of stealing a bicycle.
Anyone with information is urged to ring 0845 113 5000 and ask to speak to officers at Wednesfield police station or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
