England's cricketers have won the second of their Twenty20 internationals with the West Indies.

Owais Shah was the hero, hitting an unbeaten 55 from 35 balls to take the side home with three balls to spare.

England's victory tied the two-match series after West Indies won the opener at the same venue by 15 runs last night.

They next face the Windies in the first of three one-day matches on Sunday.

England captain Paul Collingwood hailed his team's overnight improvement after bouncing back from yesterday's defeat.

He said: "That was a good performance. It is nice to get the win under the belt, we learned a lot from last night's game. We kept them down to a 'gettable' total and Owais and Dimi (Dimitri Mascarenhas) came out and knocked it off.

"We have only been together a week and a bit and we have done a lot of talking - but you learn the most out in the middle.

"It was much better today. To knock off a total like that shows how we bat in depth. Credit to them, the light wasn't good. It was a great effort."

England had named an unchanged side as they sought revenge over the Windies.

It meant there was still no place in the side for spinner Monty Panesar who had taken 23 wickets in the Test series win over the West Indies.

Seamer Liam Plunkett was also left out and batsman Ian Bell has still not recovered from a groin injury.

The West Indies were forced to make two changes from the side which had scored 208-8 in the first meeting - the fourth highest score in Twenty20 internationals.

Opening batsman Devon Smith, who had scored 61 off 34 balls, and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, whose 41 came off just 26 deliveries, were ruled out with knee and quad injuries respectively. They were replaced by Lendl Simmons and Austin Richards.
