Streisand's French honour
US singer Barbra Streisand has been awarded France's top civilian honour, just days after doing her first concert there.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy presented the star with the Legion of Honour in Paris.
Streisand's actor husband James Brolin and her son, Jason Gould joined her at the Elysee Palace event.
The 65-year-old sang at Paris' Bercy stadium in front of 10,000 people which included Sarkozy's wife, Cecilia.
Streisand, whose show in Rome on June 15 was cancelled because of production difficulties, will be playing in Berlin and Stockholm before she goes to Manchester on July 10 for the first of four UK gigs.
The Legion d'honneur has recently been awarded to Clint Eastwood and Bollywood's Amitabh Bachchan.
