Owen comes through unscathed
Michael Owen looks set for a return to the full England squad after playing the full 90 minutes as England B beat Albania 3-1.
Owen has only played three Premiership matches since he suffered knee ligament damage while playing in a World Cup match against Sweden in Germany almost a year ago.
But he came through the match at Burnley's Turf Moor ground unscathed and he is now expected to play in England's first full international at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium against Brazil on June 1.
Manchester United striker Alan Smith gave England the lead and Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing added two more goals as England's second-string dominated the game.
Besart Berisha scored for Albania just before half-time, but his goal proved to be little more than a consolation.
England are also preparing for a Euro 2008 qualifier in Estonia, which will be held on June 6.
