A puzzle-solving robot is set to take visitors to the British Toy Fair back to the future.

Rubot2 - dubbed The Cubinator - is a dab hand at cracking that 80s toy icon, the Rubik's Cube.

The canny machine uses a series of cameras to suss out the five sides of the coloured cube, and a mathematical equation to work out the fastest solution.

Rubot2 is pretty impressive, but he is far from being a world beater.

In the battle of man against machine, humans still reign supreme.

The record time for a person solving the puzzle has been set at ten seconds, while the robot's best effort is 26 seconds.
