Andrew Flintoff has hinted that he is ready to play against South Africa at Lord's.
Flintoff, nicknamed Freddie, has not played in a Test match for England since the Ashes series in Australia more than 18 months ago.
"I feel great" - Andrew Flintoff
After six weeks out of action with a side strain, the selectors are not expected to pick Flintoff for the first Test and the all-rounder is avoiding questions about his readiness for England.
But he is playing competitively once more and bowled for Lancashire in the County Championship match against Sussex.
He said: "I feel great, really great."
England captain Michael Vaughan has confirmed Flintoff will return to the team as soon as he is fit.
