US rap star freed from prison
US rapper The Game has been freed from prison after serving eight days of a 60-day sentence.
The 28-year-old was jailed for possessing a weapon while on school premises and was convicted in February.
He allegedly pulled a gun on opposing player Rodrick Shannon at a basketball match, and he claimed the rapper had hit him in the face during the game at Rita Walters Educational Complex.
The court heard that Taylor had fetched his gun from the car park and threatened Mr Shannon with it after a heated argument.
The rapper - real name Jayceon Taylor - was also given three years' probation and 150 hours of community service.
Two other counts against him were dropped as part of a plea bargain.
