A man and a woman have appeared in court charged with conspiracy to supply drugs to Amy Winehouse.

John Blagrove, 34, and Cara Burton, 22, both of Queensbridge Road, Dalston, east London, appeared before Thames Magistrates' Court in east London, charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely cocaine and MDMA.

The accused, John Blagrove, 34, and Cara Burton, 22, were bailed to appear again in October

The pair were bailed to reappear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on October 6.

The charges relate to a video released in January which apparently shows the singer smoking a crack pipe.

She was questioned by police over the video but was told in May she would not face charges.

The 24-year-old played the Glastonbury festival at the weekend, and was accused of elbowing a fan in the head during her set.

She has checked herself out of The London Clinic where she was being treated for the lung disease emphysema.
