Blades wait on League decision

Sheffield United will have to wait until "the end of the month, hopefully sooner" to learn if they have won their battle to avoid relegation, according to plc chairman Kevin McCabe.

The three-man panel has finished hearing a challenge brought by the Blades against the Premier League tribunal, following the Carlos Tevez affair.

"We have been told to expect a decision by the end of the month, hopefully sooner" - Sheffield United plc chairman Kevin McCabe

McCabe told reporters after leaving the central London hearing: "I'd like to thank the tribunal.

"It's been a very complicated case, and the panel are going away to review the evidence and submissions.

"We have been told to expect a decision by the end of the month, hopefully sooner."
