Stars shine at Reading Festival

A sunny start to this year's reading Festival saw around 80,000 music fans head to the Berkshire countryside.

Hot weather on the first day of the bank holiday event inspired rapper Dizzee Rascal to strip to the waist during the climax to his set.

Political US rockers Rage Against The Machine however, were in the mood to dress up, donning Guantanamo Bay-style prison overalls to attack the Bush regime.

The Killers and The Manic Street Preachers were set to go head to head on Saturday night, headlining the festival's Main Stage and NME/Radio 1 stage respectively.

And heavy metal survivors Metallica were due to bring the event to a close on Sunday night.
