Hamilton extends championship lead
Lewis Hamilton finished third in the French Grand Prix but remains on top of the world championship.
The McLaren driver could not keep up with Ferrari's Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, who started from first and third places on the grid respectively.
Raikkonen went on to win the race with Massa finishing second and Hamiton third.
But Hamilton extended his championship lead from ten points to 14 over his McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso.
Massa is 15 points behind Hamilton and Raikkonen is 18 points behind.
Hamilton has now claimed a podium place in each of his eight Grands Prix.
The next Grand Prix is at Silverstone and Hamilton is guaranteed to lead the drivers championship no matter where he finishes in front of his home crowd.
